Room great. Staff good but didn’t really show full interest. Like enquiring how the food we got served was and whether we were happy with it at the time.

Just a lack of interest when we raised the quality of the food we ordered for lunch. Just a wrap and a sandwich which we believed would be hot but came lukewarm/cold. Sides of chips were meh too. We were not looking for a rebate just wanted to express our disappointment with it.

Bar staff seemed a little funny at night.. considering the bar was completely packed, they seemed like they could of been anywhere but at the bar. Disappointing to see really, didn't let it ruin my night but definitely one in the back of the mind. Would return when next in Manchester due to how nice the rooms were but would possibly go elsewhere than the hotel bar. Reception also seemed unmanned for about 5 minutes when arriving to which only 1 member of staff came out to serve a queue of 5 people, was waiting in a long queue for about 15 minutes to check-in, not what I'd expect from a hotel of this grandeur.

The ambience of this hotel is incredible they do everything 100%, every detail right down to the quirky products in the bathrooms, exceptional quality. Breakfast was outstanding and Milda our waitress was very attentive along with a lovely smile. We checked in with Jacqueline who should be commended as she was very professional, courteous and once she knew it was a birthday weekend celebration she even sent a nice card to my room along with a voucher for 2 free cocktails for me and my wife, lovely touch. Would highly recommend staying here and we will be back.

Hotel was booked as a birthday present. Stayed in the superior king room, arrived earlier than the 3pm check-in and our room was ready on arrival. Staff were friendly. The room was clean with mini bar, safe, hangers, ironing facilities etc. There was a happy birthday card with 2x free cocktails in the bar downstairs which was a nice touch. Hotel was very close to Manchester Piccadilly train station and close to city centre shops, bars and restaurants. Definitely recommend 20 stories for a drink on a sunny day. There was a taxi rank outside the hotel so easy to get around. Stayed here as we booked to go to friends fest later on that evening in Heaton Park . Short taxi ride only £11. Brilliant stay and would recommend to anyone.

Location was excellent, room was clean and had good views of the city. Bed and pillows were amazingly comfy had a great nights sleep. We went for our first wedding anniversary and the hotel had very kindly left a card and vouchers for complementary Prosecco at the bar - which was a very nice touch! Overall the location was great for us to walk everywhere local, the bar staff were more than friendly and we had a great weekend - would definitely recommend

Everything about the hotel was amazing , from the reception , to the staff , to the decor , the big comfy beds and also the excellent friendliness and hospitality shown by CECELIA in particular . HOTEL HAS GREAT DECOR , STAFF , & BEDS OVERALL . COULDNT THANK CECELIA ENOUGH FOR DOING EVERYTHING SHE CAN TO MAKE OUR STAY COMFORTABLE AND MAKING US FEEL WELCOME.

However , when arriving to my room , which was booked for my partners 21st Birthday & our 5 year anniversary , I was disappointed to find many of multiple problems in the room . First of all , I requested ‘special touches ‘ if possible , due to the special occasion but was told there’s no one to do it , first thing I did was go to the toilet in the room , to find that the toilet roll holder was empty and had not been restocked , which it should have been if a cleaner had been in before we checked in , there was a dirty white magic sponge in the middle of the bathroom floor where the cleaner has obviously left it , so these were the obvious problems . Throughout that night I found many more , 3 channels working out of the whole freeview tv selection , the rest showing no signal , on closing curtains at night it revealed large brown drink stains covering the cream curtains , on having a shower I noticed mould under the shower door , also mould on my ceiling outside the bathroom door by the bed , there was a large crack in the black tea tray (kettle,mugs,etc are kept on tray) , both towels in bathroom were dirty ! On the morning after a cleaner burst into our room unexpectedly even though we had the keep our sign on the door handle and when seeing us inside just walked back out and closed the door which is strange , no apology or anything . I was really amazed on first impressions of the hotel but eventually after check in and staying there , I picked up on a handful of problems , the worst being damp and cleaners clearly not doing there jobs properly . I am very extremely disappointed with this experience as I do not expect to pay for a £200 + hotel room , for a celebration for me and my partner , and expect this quality of cleanliNess and condition . On reporting this to a male member of staff at reception I was told to send my complaints via email , I have emailed the hotel , I have all photo graphic and video evidence to back up my complaints ...

The staff were friendly and helpful.

The lighting made the rooms gloomy. There were no croissants or breakfast rolls when I went for a continential breakfast at 9.00 am. The staff serving in this area didn't seem to find this a problem. Lack of an inviting general seating area.

Absolutely everything.... this is our second stay and decided to push the boat out for my partners birthday with a 2 night stay in the corner suite.... it defiantly didn’t disappoint! Walk through the door to a sofa, a chair and table with a huge tv then in a separate room there was The bed which was huge and so comfy, along with with a desk, chair, wardrobe and again a huge tv.. then a separate bathroom that had a toilet, monsoon shower, sink and a separate bath. The curtains are black out and no noise is heard from outside! Really good nights sleep!

Very dark decor, strange lights, all lights turns on/of , only one person has a reading light, no place for suitcase even tough the room is very big. No hangers for wet coats. To put your contacs in you have to kneel on the toilette to get close enough to the mirror. Very very weak coffe at breakfast.

We loved the hotel which had a good feel to it. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and stylish. We stayed with our 2 year old for which the hotel provided a cot bed which was great.

The only negatives I can think of are things the hotel itself had no power over. As it’s so close to the train station the area can attract one or two “undesirable” people but I certainly wouldn’t let it deter me from staying there again. Also, as it’s in the city centre, the hotel doesn’t have on site parking. Although the hotel recommends using the nearest NCP car park, for an extra 1 minute walk there’s a nice, clean, secure and much cheaper Q-Park that the hotel also gives a 15% discount on. Don’t be frightened of using your legs!

Fab location, paid to upgrade breakfast from continental. Well worth it and was excellent. Arrived before room was available, bags were stored and then put in my room for me.

Window didn't open but the air conditioning made up for it.
